Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as an anchor and journalist for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as a morning anchor and crime reporter. O'Dell's stories in Charleston regarding the police's tolerance in DUI cases, prompted the State Law Enforcement Division to look into the matter. This led to state authorities issuing more strict regulations in these cases. Ms. O'Dell was recognized by the Associated Press with the Best Report of the Year Award all media South Carolina. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend.
